Can I change the start day of a new pill pack while taking Ortho Tricyclen Lo?

I have been on Ortho tricyclen Lo for 2 months. I have a Sunday start day for my pills. I want to change my start day to Tuesday to(hopefully) time my period for the middle of the week. My period usually starts with in a day or 2 of taking the placebo pills (4th week). My period started on Sunday morning. I want to skip the rest of the placebo pills and start my new pack on Tuesday, so that next month my period will start during the week rather than on Sunday. Will this decrease the pill's effectiveness for the next pack?

1. You're fully protected as long as you don't extend the placebos past 7 days. You may have some breakthrough bleeding or some spotting or a shorter or longer period. But that's normal when you change a routine.
